Ariel Efraim Ashbel

Ariel Efraim Ashbel is a Berlin based director. With his transdisciplinary, international team of friends he makes stage spectacles at the intersection of theater, visual art, dance, music and ritual.

Ashbel is associate artist at HAU Hebbel am Ufer Berlin. His shows are also presented at Kampnagel Hamburg and FFT Düsseldorf, as well as other international institutions and festivals. He collaborates with fellow artists as dramaturg, light designer and performer, and teaches in several art schools and universities. He is represented by the Berlin based production and performance label high expectations.
